Background:
Pulau Carey (Carey Island), the 10,000ha island in Selangor, is the last piece of land in adjacent to Malaysia’s flagship port – Port Klang, the premier hub of Southeast Asia and the national load center. The mega port include container terminals, dry bulk terminals (grain and ore), and liquid bulk terminals.
CPM was commissioned as lead consultant undertaking this national project (final report to the Cabinet) to explore and establish the mega Port-Park-City (PPC) model and concept via the feasibility assessment of the Integrated Port and Special Economic Zone development
